Podcast episode 377ish: Tanyalee Davis

We managed to nail down travellin' woman Tanyalee Davis for an hour a couple weeks ago. It had been four years since her last visit to the studio. The truly international Ms. Davis tells tales of her little 'gina, relocating to small town North Carolina, and hanging out with big stars like the Bay City Rollers and P Diddy. I was contagious and in the isolation booth that night so manservant Colleen Brow took over to ask the tough questions with occasional input from me.

You can listen to the whole shebang right here. Or go download it at your iTunes store. Or Stitcher. Or... well, lots of other places too numerous to mention.

Feb. 22: Craig Northey

It's been a while since we've had a rock star join us on the program. The last time was almost a year ago (March 9, 2014) when all three Mounties were in studio with us. Tonight we are visited by Craig Northey. It's not such an odd choice for a show about comedy, either, despite him being with Odds. Northey's comedy creds are legit. He's the guy who wrote the opening and closing theme songs of Corner Gas. He also composed on Brent Butt's other TV series, Hiccups. And before that, he scored Kids in the Hall's Brain Candy. There's more, too, but we'll talk talk about it tonight. So do your part and tune in.

I'm thrilled he agreed to come on. What are the odds?

We're on the air at 11 on CFRO, 100.5 FM in Vancouver. Livestream us, if that's your preference or only option, at coopradio.org.

Feb. 15: Ryan Hamilton

Found Ryan Hamilton on the road and offered him a ride.
We've got a What's So Funny? first tonight. Our guest, Ryan Hamilton, has been with us twice before – once from his hotel room and once from the studio. So how could we spice things up this time? We got in the car and drove around the city, talking all the way through it. We think it was legal. There were no fender-benders anyway. And you get a bit of observations out the window along with the talk of the life and times of the Idaho-born New York-based standup comic. We didn't get coffee, though, because that would have been a copyright infringement. So come along for the ride!

We're on the air from 11 to midnight on Co-op Radio 100.5 FM in Vancouver. You can, as always, livestream us at coopradio.org.

Feb. 8: Tanyalee Davis

We're back live in studio tonight. Joining us is Tanyalee Davis, former Vancouver girl just back in town visiting from God knows where. She travels the world performing standup. Yes, the whole world. I wonder if she's done a count of how many countries she's been to? Maybe we'll find out tonight. She last visited us four years ago so I'm sure she's gotten up to lots of trouble in the intervening years. Tune in to find out what.

We're on the air at 11 pm on CFRO 100.5 in Vancouver. If you're elsewhere in the world, do the math. You can livestream us at coopradio.org.
