Aug. 16: Moving day

No guest tonight. It's moving day. Actually, day one of moving day. I'm beat and couldn't imagine having to prepare for a guest. But do not worry, faithful listeners, there will be a show. We'll play some comedy clips for you for an hour. And if Kevin's around, we'll chat.

Shortest blog post ever? Possibly.

Personally I enjoy the chatting. Was tempted to phone up with a request for something from the second season of Flight of the Concords since Kevin likes them and I just finished watching the show but didn't want to interrupt. The George Carlin bit at the end was perfect by the way :) Sorry to hear Guy got sucked into the facebook thing. Something about facebook freaks me out, like it's a massive ego trip...

Anonymous, why do you have to go and be so anonymous all the time? Don't make me guess.

Hee hee hee, well it's true that I love to engage in shameless self-promotion but when it comes to technology I'm pretty pathetic. I certainly don't have a google account. An openID implies my ego and superego have taken a vacation. And the name/URL? I have a name but I wouldn't want people mistaking it for an URL, whatever that is. Of course if someone else goes around claiming to be mr. Anonymous I may have to take drastic measures and reveal my secret identity. Maybe I'll phone next week and say hello :)

Point taken, Anonymous, but it takes very little technological know-how to sign your name after your post. Like this, watch:

Dang, all my attempts at obfuscation swatted aside in a single flash of logic! Hmm, didn't I hear you say you had a jazz show on cfro starting up soon? Supposedly that kind of music is good for the brain, although I'm more partial to the blues personally. Maybe I should give it a listen.

Ah, Jude! Of course. I can sleep at night now.

I was just subbing on a jazz show this afternoon. It's not a regular thing. If you missed it, it's gone.

I'm pretty sure CFRO puts up all their shows on the website so nothing ever really vanishes. Aside from what entropy gets up to. Curse you entropy! I was watching District 9 a couple days ago (great flick by the way) and saw some ads before the show promoting video games. It got me thinking there must be a really good joke about Super Mario waiting to be made if it hasn't already. Like, the US military is using first-person shooters to train soldiers. What does a game about collecting coins and eating mushrooms prepare you for? Maybe this is the real reason you see so many street people... It seems so good I'm worried I heard that joke before somewhere and forgot though.
